A Message from the President
Dear Friends of Beacon Hill Seminars,
Following in the footsteps of Jack Curtin and Doug Fitzsimmons will be a daunting proposition for me as I assume the role of BHS President in July, but I am thrilled to have the honor of leading this wonderful institution. This fall will make our ninth year of seminars thanks to the committment and generosity of BHS members, group leaders and staff, and the BHS Board of Directors.
On behalf of BHS, I would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank outgoing Board members, Doug Fitzsimmons, Charles Dickinson, Ed Kessler, Deborah Leighton, and Mary Thomsen. BHS by-laws stipulate term limits so that the board will continue to evolve and flourish. it is an understatement to say that these outstanding leaders will be missed. But BHS marches on, and the BHS nominating committee is pleased to present our next class of board members who will be up for election at our annual meeting: Karven Garvin, Judy Fitzsimmons, Wayne Perkins, and Jack Curtin.
I know you wil be as excited about the fall curriculum described in this catalogue as I am. These eighteen courses offer BHS members an opportunity to dive into the joy of stress-free learning and sharing of knowledge that is so unique to BHS. Please note the world-class evening symposia offered this fall that will allow new members whose daytime hours are limited to participate in BHS. Special thanks to Boston Digital Bridge Foundation for including BHS in this collaboration of esteemed educational institutions.
Please hang on to this catalogue so that you can refer to it in the fall (or visit our webiste, www.beaconhillseminars.org for everything you see here, and more!). BHS membership is open to adults of all ages and locales. Annual membership dues covers admission to up to six courses per academic year and to all BHS events. Join us today, and ensure your top course selections!
I look forward to greeting you on September 8th at our fall Kick-Off Event and Annual Meeting.
Sincerely,
Sharon Malt, President
